This is the second piece of jewelry I have purchased from Monet and again I am very satisfied with the quality. I inspected the pin and also the back to check the method of construction and was very pleased with what I found. First the pin lock is well constructed with a safety hasp. It is a little stiff but then again it is new. The hinge point at the other end of the pin is very neatly crimped on and the mounting of it and the lock seems to be integral but could be soldered on. Either way it is very neatly done and secure when latched. The mounting structure for the stones is a cast piece, very solid and has a good, weighty feel to it. The stones are all very precisely fitted and nicely done. The only bad thing I found is that the center stone is dull due to the casting piece not reflecting light. Other than that it is other wise attractive. Considering what I paid it is a good, quality piece that will complement a scarf or dress coat/jacket very well.
