The size and quality of the stone are beautiful and wonderful. The stone is framed by quality silver that has been artistically placed. The earrings are light in weight, surprisingly since there is so much silver. And they hang beautifully on the ear. They are EXACTLY as they appear in the picture. The problem is that, for me, the silver on the sides actually detracts attention from the stone. I find the very-nice-sized stone is not complemented by the silver on the sides, rather is in competition with it. The other silver work on top and bottom of the stone are fabulous. For those of you who like that sort of "equal balance," that I mention above, great! I'll take these beautiful earrings to my jeweler and asking them to take off the silver handles on the sides and make it a more simple, elegant earring.
